Mixed-methods study of Design (n=221) and Business (n=222) students in Thailand. AI literacy predicted prompting proficiency and verification behavior (p<.001). Two mechanisms: prompting→trust calibration and verification→reduced cognitive load. Context differences: Design students used ChatGPT for ideation/refinement; Business students for structured analysis/auditability. Verification functioned as metacognitive safeguard.
