Each file is offered in HTML, Word and PDF, and the whole pack downloads as a zip under CC BY 4.0 with attribution — no permission needed to adapt it into your own documents.

What is in it

An assessment suite: a 20-cell institutional AI-readiness maturity self-assessment with a scoring workbook, a researcher and doctoral-student survey, a supervisor survey, a sixty-rung gap-analysis worksheet and action ladder, and a board and council one-pager. Role briefings for senior research leadership, deans of research, graduate-school leadership and research-integrity committees. A policy library with a model institutional AI-in-research policy and an AI-use disclosure standard, both meant to be rewritten.

Who it is for

Research leaders, committees and policy offices that need an evidence-based picture of how AI is used and governed across a research environment and a way to track change over time. It accompanies Responsible AI in Academic Research: A Competency Framework for Research Training, which defines five dimensions of readiness, and was written by Michael J.
